About

19th October to 1st November 2015

Greenwich Gallery, London SE10 8RS

Private view: 6-9pm, Wednesday 28th October

We are a group of 10 urban photographers who are recent graduates of the MA Photography and Urban Cultures in the Sociology Department at Goldsmiths College (University of London) exhibiting at Greenwich Gallery in October 2015.

You can help us to fund our exhibition by donating via our Kickstarter page.

Framing Urban Narratives, together with accompanying workshops and seminars, will be a key feature of the internationally-renowned Urban Photo Fest which is part of the Tate programme and is supported by Goldsmiths, University of London. UPF is an international photographic festival focusing on urban photography and associated visual research. Through our collaboration with Urban Photo Fest and Tate Britain, we are fortunate to be able to engage in conversations with international, national and local audiences, opening up the potential for addressing important visual urbanism and sociological themes.

We believe that the 21st Century city demands a deeper investigation to draw in new narratives and engagements that help us to rewrite some of the thinking that currently exists. Our intention to organise walks, talks and workshops, allows us the opportunity to engage directly with our audiences, and through this process of community and local engagements we anticipate the beginnings of these exploratory conversations.
